The Holy Family Youth Movement (HFYM) is an initiative born out of a desire to reinvigorate the faith of our parish youth. The movement offers our young people between the ages of 12 and 16 a fortnightly opportunity to share a free meal, enjoy a range of fun games, catechesis to grow in faith, and spiritual formation. It also hopes to provide a variety of opportunities to volunteer in our community as well as an avenue to fundraise for certain mission and faith-oriented projects. Collectively, these goals aim at helping our young people rediscover, or discover for the first time, the beauty of life in Christ.
Pope Francis has recently invited the world’s youth to Panama (January, 2019) for the 16th World Youth Day. Holy Family parish would love to help as many of our young people as possible respond to the Holy Father’s call. To this end, the Holy Family Youth Movement will begin fundraising to give young members of our parish the opportunity to attend this extraordinary event.
The HFYM welcomes anyone between the ages of 12 and 16. It meets between 6 and 8 p.m. every second Sunday in the parish meeting room.
